Happy Birthday!

Matt opened his present first thing this morning. He got a deep fryer for the fish he will catch this year. Lookout fish!

Day 9

It's getting warmer

Today was a nice day, still a bit chilly for me. But nice enough to go outside and get some things done. Matt fixed my bench with his saw that he got for Christmas. First time it was ever used. The kids wore their safety goggles. Which became a great photo opportunity, so pulled my camera out, YAY! I also took one picture of the flower that bloomed.

Day 8

Ranger

I used to take lots of pictures of Ranger before the kiddos were born. Now he has been pushed to the side. I needed a recent picture of him to put in his photo album, and here it is!

Day 7

Yummy Rolls!

I was so excited about making these rolls. Don't they look homemade? Well they aren't, they're from the freezer. They are called Rhodes Dinner Rolls and they come in a package of 36. They were so good, the kids loved them!

Day 6

"Come downstairs today!"

I had no idea what to take pictures of today, no CLUE!!! Then while heading out for Awana's I asked the kids to come downstairs. Of course I had to tell them more than once, it was time to go or we are going to be late. So I said, "come downstairs today!" Then I hear them crackin' up coming down the stairs. So I grabbed my camera and took some pictures.

Guess what flocked into our yard?

First off, I did not put these in my yard for decoration. But they are stuck here for 24 hrs. This morning when I opened my front door I saw an envelope, that said "place envelope outside your front door by 6:00pm for pick up!" That's when I realized I had the flock!

I am a member of the Fort Polk Officers' Spouses' Club and this is a fundraiser to help raise money for scholarships and other community grants.

Here are the rules:

The flamingos will stay in the yard for 24 hrs, I have to pay $10 for the removal of the flamingos, if there is someone I want to flock next I just put their name in the envelope and pay $5 more. If I don't want the flock to come back I then pay an additional $5 for insurance. I could also MEGA flock someone else for an additional $15. (MEGA flock includes all 24 flamingos)

My yard looks very silly. Once I saw the envelope I told the kids to look out to see what was in our yard. They love it! But they didn't understand why I would put those in our yard without their help. I told them, "I did not put them in my yard. Someone else did it last night." They both grinned!

Day 2

Guess what we had for dinner?

For the last three days Matt has been waiting for crawfish. I am not a fan of crawfish at all, but Matt and Megan love to eat them. They had some last year. Michael tried it and he was not interested. He did have fun taking pictures.

It is so hard to choose which pictures to share!

Day 1

Breakfast & Lunch
Michael had pancakes right out of the microwave today. Not common at ALL at our house. I just bought them this week since he is always asking for pancakes during the week. We usually make them every Saturday morning. It's a lot of work to make them during the week!
Megan had PB&J for lunch which is very unusual. I make her a jelly sandwich for lunch everyday. But for some reason she wanted a PB&J today. Gotta love half day Fridays!

Getting started...

I love to take pictures. So I am going to try Project 365, where I will be taking a picture everyday for a whole year. This will also give you an insight of my family's journey throughout the year. Getting started I think will be the hard part!
